LOGO Design Contest for WIFI Film Festival

June 29 - October 1

The WIFI Film Festival is an annual film festival dedicated to promoting and celebrating film production, stories from the Midwest, and education at Washburn University, in the Topeka community, and in the state of Kansas. We believe there are unique stories that can only be found in the Midwest, and particularly in Kansas. We support filmmakers in producing and creating stories from the Midwest that need to have a voice in our world and we advance the impact of those stories.

The WIFI festival is an annual community event that:

  • Showcases new talent and supports local talent
  • Inspires community collaborations and fosters town pride
  • And – above all – educates the attendees by encouraging dialogue on various topics

Logo Competition: We are seeking a professional quality logo that represents the annual film festival

Deadline: Friday, Oct. 1

  • Logos for the WIFI competition must be completely
  • Designers must submit scalable logos in an original vector format. For example, if using Adobe Illustrator, designers should submit the .ai file.
  • Any text should be converted to outlines.
  • We’re looking for a modern representation of a film festival design.
  • Avoid over-used imagery and clip art.
  • WIFI is an acronym, so please use all upper case letters.

The competition is open to any graphic designer, but current mass media students and alumni are strongly encouraged to participate. The logo selection committee will consider originality, relevance and technical execution when selecting a winner. The winner will receive a $200 cash prize.
