The Washburn University Foundation is excited to welcome Marshall Meek as the Executive Director of Major and Planned Giving. He joined the Foundation on January 12, 2015.
The Foundation is fortunate to have Marshall join our team and help lead our fundraising efforts as he brings a great deal of experience in fundraising and management to the Foundation. He is a well-respected member of the Topeka community and will be a tremendous asset in our efforts to successfully reach our campaign goal. Meek previously served as executive director, St. Francis Health Foundation. During his four-year tenure, he led fundraising efforts for several capital projects including the renovation of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the Da Vinci Surgical Robot and the Emergency Department renovation. In addition, he was instrumental in forming a partnership with the School of Nursing Mobile Health Unit and St. Francis with a $500,000 investment in the program.
Marshall also serves on the board of directors for United Way of Greater Topeka. He is active with Haiti Lifeline Ministries and serves as fundraising and marketing chairperson for its Capital Craze event. Marshall is a graduate of Kansas State University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in business administration at Washburn.
