Important Reminders from the Student One Stop

Greetings!

It’s an exciting time here at Washburn as we begin to wrap up the first week of classes. We hope all of you have enjoyed your classes so far and are looking forward to what the remainder of the semester will bring. As you get settled in, I want to provide a few friendly reminders:

1. The fall payment deadline is Friday, August 28th. The balance on your student account should be paid-in-full or you should have a payment plan set up by this date in order to avoid a late fee.

2. If you are a first time freshman and a first time loan borrower, your loan disbursement will be delayed 30 days due to federal regulations. This information was provided by your admissions counselor and as part of the programming during New Student Orientation. The loan disbursement will take place during mid- to late-September. The Business Office has created a 3-payment plan that delays the first payment due date until October 15th. This gives time for the loan disbursement to occur. (Note: This only applies to first time freshmen students who are first time loan borrowers.)

3. The last day to withdraw from a class and receive a 100% tuition refund is Friday, August 28th.

Feel free to contact us in Morgan Hall 101A, by phone (785-670-2162), or by email ([email protected]) if you have questions about any of the information mentioned above. We look forward to working with you throughout the academic year.

Go Bods!
