SUNFLOWER JOURNEYS Finds a Dairy Farmer with a Golf Course 

Thursday nights at 7 PM on KTWU-HD, Digital Channel 11.1

KTWU’s SUNFLOWER JOURNEYS all-new 28th season of programming continues this week with a fun story on a dairy farmer with his own golf course. This week’s episode airs on Thursday, September 24, 2015, at 7 p.m., on KTWU-HD, digital channel 11.1.

Thursday’s program introduces Myron Schmidt, a dairy farmer with a golf course. This episode also revisits a plane crash in the streets of Wichita in 1965 and finds a native plant garden in Hesston, Kansas.

The 28th season of KTWU-TV’s SUNFLOWER JOURNEYS is underwritten by the Kansas Humanities Council, Porter Cattle Co, Kansas Tourism, Eaglecrest Retirement Community, Crooked Post Winery, Westar Energy’s Imagine Kansas Short Film Series, Raymond C. and Marguerite Gibson Foundation, Blanche Bryden Foundation and the Friends of KTWU.

For 50 years, KTWU has been broadcasting local public television in eastern Kansas and portions of Nebraska, Missouri and Oklahoma.
