We hope you’ve been able to settle into the semester and are looking forward to a few days off before tackling the remainder of the term. It’s been exciting to watch all the finishing touches being put on the Welcome Center and to have you take advantage of the spaces created for group and individual study. Five computer stations are now available under the blue light for student use.
I am writing to provide information regarding some exciting updates coming to the Student One-Stop soon after fall break. First, we will have extended morning hours beginning Monday, October 12th. The office will open at 7:30 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. We will continue to open at 9 a.m. on Wednesdays. At this time, the extended hours only apply to the front counter of the One-Stop.
Second, we have a new kiosk system to keep track of those who visit the office and their needs. This not only allows us to keep track of how many visitors we have, but also provides information regarding the services most frequently used and other services we may add in the future. We ask that you go to the kiosk and sign in prior to meeting with a University Service Advisor.
