Subject: [All Faculty & Staff] Prairie Memories: The Art of Glenda Taylor and 2016 Mulvane Art Museum Juried Ceramics Exhibition
Please join us at the Mulvane Art Museum this coming Saturday, March 19, 2-5 pm, for the opening reception for Prairie Memories: The Art of Glenda Taylor and 2016 Mulvane Art Museum Juried Ceramics Exhibition.
Prairie Memories: The Art of Glenda Taylor honors the life and art of Washburn University ceramic professor Glenda Taylor, who was killed in a biking accident last June. In her work, Glenda, a lifelong Kansan, expressed her love of the Plains, its animals, winds, tornadoes, prairies, creek beds and the fossils of the state’s watery past. The show includes approximately thirty-five works from late 1970s to 2015.
2016 Mulvane Art Museum Juried Ceramics Exhibition features the work of thirty-six ceramists form eleven Mountain/Plains states. The works in the show are a study in contrasts in terms of subjects, styles and techniques. All of the works of art are for sale.
