After spring break, I had the opportunity to travel with Reyna Perez, Christina Seeley and Tina Ruecker on a trip led by Sharon Sullivan, chair of the women and gender studies department, to the United Nations Headquarters in New York City where we stayed for five days to attend the 60th Commission on the Status of Women. In between events at the UN, we had the opportunity to venture on our own and explore the streets of New York City.
