The Washburn men’s tennis team faced off against Newman University at the Washburn Tennis Complex on Sunday, April 17th 2016. Washburn triumphed over the Jets with a overall final score of 5-1.  Highlights included wins in double’s by Blake Hunter and Alejandro Valarezo Plaza, Matt Barlow and Zach Hampton, and single wins by Blake Hunter, Alejandro Valarezo Plaza, and Matt Barlow. With a 4-0 record for the week, Valarezo Plaza was named MIAA Tennis Player of the Week.
