President Obama announced that is oldest daughter, Malia will be attending Harvard in 2017.

President Obama has said that he plans to stay in Washington until his youngest daughter, Sasha, graduates from high school. This is something that has never happened before. Typically, when a president is officially done leading the country they leave Washington and live out their days, looking to retire.

“I think that it’s a great thing that he’s being proactive in not only being president, but also being a parent,” said Omar Chavez. “I think that him staying in Washington is wonderful and shows that not only is he a great president, but also a great father.”

To some, there is no doubt that Obama has done things his own way through his elected presidency.

“He can live wherever he wants and no one can tell him differently,” said Amira Akacha, a senior social work major. “Just because all other president’s [have] left Washington after their terms have ended, does not mean he has to.”
