The Ad Astra Theatre Ensemble will perform a concert reading of Marcia Cebulska’s play VISIONS OF RIGHT. at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 26 in the Neese Gray Theatre.

The script was originally written in response to the hate ministry of the Westboro Baptist Church and engages some current controversial topics including gun violence, hate speech, religious freedom and gay rights.

The performance will feature most of the original cast members such as Jesyca Rodenberg and Craig Fisher, artistic director of Ad Astra Theatre Ensemble and adjunct professor respectively.

Kansas University professor Darren Canady will direct the concert reading which will be accompanied by projected images. History professor Tom Prasch will moderate a discussion following the performance.

Admission is free for the public.
