Sporting Kansas City

After Hurricane Harvey postponed Sporting KC’s matchup with the Houston Dynamo, SKC is preparing for important games down the stretch as they sign the second-youngest MLS player in Gianluca Busio. Sporting KC looks to add to their prestige when they face off in the US Open Cup Championship on September 20th at Children’s Mercy Park against the New York Red Bulls.

The Kansas City Royals

The Royals (68-68) are now 2.5 games out of the second wild card spot and 12.5 games away from the AL Central after a 7-6 win against the Detroit Tigers. While heading to the playoffs looks like a longshot for a team with many inconsistencies closing on the postseason, they look to shorten the gap between the wild card race at least.

The Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs (0-0) prepare to start their season at Gillette Stadium with a premiere matchup on Thursday night against the defending Super Bowl champions in the New England Patriots. A win against the Patriots could establish the Chiefs as an earlier competitor for the Vince Lombardi trophy and propel them into the books in Las Vegas as a favorite to win it all with veteran quarterback Alex Smith in his contract year.
