Come and play your hand at casino night Dec. 9 from 6 p.m. 9 p.m. in Washburn A/B.

Gather your cards and count your blessings because Washburn University’s Campus Activities Board is hosting a casino night.

Thursday, Dec. 9, Campus Activities Board will be giving away various prizes for this event. Casino night took a hiatus from Washburn due to COVID, but is finally making a comeback.

With grand prizes such as a TV, Nintendo Switch and Airpods, students are encouraged to come and try their luck from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m in Washburn A/B.

Along with the big prizes, there will be different games for students to play their hand in. From Black Jack to Roulette to Craps to Bingo, there is a chance to win big.

Hello, I'm Maggie Cabrera! I am a sophomore majoring in mass media with a concentration in journalism and I am minoring in leadership with an emphasis in business, communications, and the media. Currently, I am the Co-Editor-in-Chief for the Kaw Yearbook, but I do many other tasks for student media like writing stories, photography, and a little bit of design. I do a lot of work, so I am a very tired person. Napping is honestly one of my favorite hobbies. I am from a small town outside of Dodge City called Hugoton, about six hours away from Topeka. I am very involved at Washburn, from being in the leadership institute and being on their student leadership council to working for OSID, you can catch me on campus basically every day! I like to think of myself as a mediator because I love listening and hearing other people's opinions, which makes me hope that one day I will be great as a journalist.
