Fast tongs, zesty sauces and crunchy vegetables. It may sound like heaven, but it is in fact the HuHot Mongolian Grill. Located at 5900 S.W. Huntoon Road, HuHot is one of the newer restaurants in Topeka and has quickly become a hotspot for lunch and dinner with citizens across Topeka.
With the only other franchise in Kansas located in Olathe, diners from cities to the west such as Manhattan can make a fairly short trip to enjoy fine Mongolian cuisine right here in Topeka.
The combinations are practically infinite, with an arrangement of meats, vegetables, noodles and sauces. There are three different brands of noodle, each with their own individual pros and cons, and on any given night there are choices of beef, chicken or several flavors of fish for protein. An array of vegetables litters the table next to the noodles, including mushrooms, peppers, pineapple and lettuce as just a few options.
After that, choose a combination of sauces that hit the palate just right and take your creation to the chefs at the grill to watch the magic happen. It’s literally like an adventure in a bowl, or two bowls if you’re a hungry fella like myself.
