TOPEKA – In a recent food drive, Washburn University collected 3,426 non-perishable food items to benefit Let’s Help, Inc. The food drive was also a competition entitled “Can Emporia” against Emporia State University to see which school could collect the most non-perishable food items. ESU collected 3,258 food items. This is the third year for the competitive food drive and the second consecutive year Washburn has won. For more information contact Washburn Student Government Association at 670-1169.
