Creative expression celebrated in exhibition by patients

TOPEKA- An exhibition of watercolor and ceramic works created by St. Francis Comprehensive Cancer Center patients will be exhibited in conjunction with the First Friday Art Walk from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, at the Mulvane Art Museum. No admission is charged and the public is welcome. Seventeen artists and six supporting family members will showcase art they created in a free class for St. Francis cancer patients underwritten by the St. Francis Health Center Foundation. The event is co-hosted by the Mulvane and St. Francis Health Center. Regular museum hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday; and 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. No admission is charged. The museum is closed on major holidays. The Mulvane Art Museum is located on the Washburn University campus at 17th and Jewell Streets, adjacent to White Concert Hall. No admission is charged.
