URGENT NEED – Blood Drive Nov. 10 at Washburn University

TOPEKA- An URGENT NEED Blood Drive will take place 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, in lower level, Petro Allied Health Center on the Washburn University campus. As of Nov. 5, the Community Blood Center’s inventory of blood type “O-negative” was down to a .6 day supply, which equates to 22 units that supply more than 70 area hospitals.

All donors will receive T-shirts and a $1 gift certificate to Tortilla Jack’s restaurant. Donors are requested to bring a photo ID, eat well and drink plenty of fluids prior to your donation. A cholesterol test will be performed on all units of blood collected. All blood donations through the Community Blood Center benefit local hospital patients.
