Jawbreaker, Fall Out Boy rock hard

Deana Smith

I love listening to a variety of genres, but since I am limited to a CD that I have been listening to lately, I am going to go with “Bad Scene, Everyone’s Fault,” a tribute to the band Jawbreaker.

Though Jawbreaker never reached mega-stardom heights, there are many bands that list them as a major influence. They opened for a Nirvana tour, and bands like Rise Against, The Foo Fighters and Fall Out Boy still perform covers of their songs.

This tribute album pays homage to a band whose brand of punk is cherished by many; it is a thing that is likely to never exist again.

I highly recommend Fall Out Boy’s heartfelt rendition of “Save Your Generation” for someone new to this band, but don’t recommend you stop there.
