TOPEKA- Vicki Baer, administrative secretary of student life at Washburn University is the recipient of the 2008 Support Staff Recognition Award presented by the NASPA-IV-West, Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education. Bear received the award Wednesday, Nov. 5, at the NASPA-IV-West conference in Tulsa, Okla. The award is presented to an individual who has contributed significantly to higher education and student affairs professionals. Baer has worked at Washburn since Jan. 2002 NASPA is the leading voice for student affairs administration, policy, and practice, and affirms the commitment of the student affairs profession to educating the whole student and integrating student life and learning.
