00:00- MWSU 37, WU 34 — 53-yard field goal by Beckwith good. Griffons win.
00:27- WU 34, MWSU 34 — WU responded to the Griffons big score with one of their own. Simoneau led the Bods down the field throwing four pass completions for first downs. WU scored shortly after with a Brad Cole 5-yard reception from Simoneau. The drive was 65 yards in nine plays in 1:48.
2:15- MWSU 34, WU 27 — Starting on their own 26, it appeared the Griffons might have trouble building another big drive. However, that wasn’t the case as Western, with a mix of pass and run plays, worked their way down the field. They went nine plays in 74 yards to take their first lead of the game. It was on a Newhart 12-yard QB bootleg run.
7:39- WU 27, MWSU 27 — Washburn forced to punt after a three and out.
8:59- WU 27, MWSU 27 — Off the interception, Western ran four straight running plays for 35 yards to get it to the WU 23. After a few more plays including a 14-yard completion, the Griffons got down near the goal line. After a double personal foul by WU defender Zach Watkins (horse collar and face mask), the Griffons had the ball with in the one yard line. Western scored on 3rd and goal with a Newhart QB keeper to tie it up. Western went 12 plays using 52 yards in 5:38.
14:37 WU 27, MWSU 20 — Western punted to begin the fourth but got the ball right back after a Simoneau interception.
End of third- WU 27, MWSU 20 — After a Desir interception for WU, Washburn had to punt it back to Western. Western is driving as the third quarter has ended
4:15- WU 27, MWSU 20 — Much like WU did in Golden, Colo., to start out the second half versus Colorado School of Mines, Washburn came out determined to run. They did just that as they took 10-plays for 71 yards, ending the possession with a Moore 2-yard run. It lasted just 4:04. The Bods picked up 47 yards on the ground for the drive.
8:26- WU 20, MWSU 20 — After another Washburn punt, Western began their second possession of the second half on their own 39. After 40 yards in two pass plays, Wester picked up 21 more yards on the ground, the final of which was a score. Thomas Hodges had the run of six yards. The five-play drive went 61 yards in only 2:04
11:23- WU 20, MWSU 13 — Washburn received the ball after the half and had to punt, which was only the second time in the game and only the eighth time all year. Western received the ball but then went three and out on their own, being forced to punt.

00:31- WU 20, MWSU 13 — Western closed out the first half with yet another pounding drive highlighted by a run-heavy load. This time, they got the touchdown. It came on a third down 18-yard pass from Drew Newhart to Adam Clausen.
4:09- WU 20, MWSU 6 — Simoneau tossed a 57 yard pass to Powers for the big play they’ve been looking for all game. Ivanisevic added a PAT. That scoring drive was made capable thanks to a great defensive play. After a Moore fumble giving Western the ball, WU got the ball back on a Pierre Desir interception. Those were the first two turnovers of the game.
Western is trouncing Washburn offensively 213 to 103 through about five minutes in the second quarter. However, they only have six points to show for it.
6:35- WU 13, MWSU 6 — Western took the kick return back to their own 48-yard line for a 24-yard return. After earning two first downs, Beckwith missed a 40-yard field goal. The Griffons had a 11-play drive for 41 yards.
10:57 WU 13, MWSU 6 — Washburn was given three gifts in the form of 35 penalty yards by Western. Simoneau finished the drive with a 13-yard pass to Vershon Moore to score the first touchdown of the game. Ivanisevic add the PAT. WU went seven plays and 67 yards in 3:03.
14:09- WU 6, MWSU 6 — Western used a 62-yard pass along with several other plays to get down into the Ichabod red zone only to kick a 26-yard Beckwith field goal to tie the game.
1:53- WU 6, MWSU 3— With the help of a 40-yard pass from WU’s Dane Simoneau to Brad Cole, the Ichabods made their way into Griffon territory again. However they had to settle for a 45-yard Ivanisevic field goal. WU went five plays in 1:46 gaining 46 yards.
3:44- WU 3, MWSU 3 — Western began its next posession on its own three yard line and responded to the Washburn score with a drive of its own. The Griffons went the length of the field but were unable to get a touchdown, settling for a 21-yard Brad Beckwith field goal. They went 16 plays for 94 yards taking 8:02 off the clock.
11:59- WU 3, MWSU 0 — After a botched punt on fourth down by Missouri Western on the first drive of the game, Washburn took control of the ball on the Missouri Western 16 yard line line. With the good field position, the Ichabods were unable to capitalize as they settled for a Steve Ivanisevic 25-yard field goal to put the Bods up 3-0.
