Ichabod football team ranked #5 in region; #12 in national polls

The Washburn Ichabods were ranked No. 5 in the NCAA Super Regional Four and No. 12 in the AFCA Coaches Top 25 polls which were both announced today. The Ichabods will travel to face Nebraska-Omaha on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Omaha.

In the AFCA Coaches poll, the Washburn Ichabods jumped from No. 17 to No. 12 in the AFCA Top 25 coaches poll. The No. 12 ranking is the highest the Ichabods have been tabbed since the second regular season poll of the 2008 season when they were ranked No. 13 in the final poll of 2005.
