The Washburn Review is a student-run publication dedicated to informing and providing a voice for the general population of Washburn University. The Review has been an award winning, student produced news and information resource on the campus of Washburn University since 1897. The website was launched in 2006.

We are committed to being the link between students, staff and community at Washburn. Products:Our print, web, video and social media forces have converged and allow The Review to be one of the most advanced student publications in the country.

Statement of policy: The Washburn Review exists to serve as the newspaper for the general population at Washburn University. No effort shall be made by the board or its members to control the freedom of press inherent to the system of government in this country. The Washburn Review is a member newspaper of the Associated Press (AP), the Kansas Associated Press (KPA) and the Kansas Associated Collegiate Press (KACP). The Review is a recipient of the 2006 – 2007 National Newspaper Pacemaker Award. The Award is given in recognition of “general excellence and outstanding achievement by a college newspaper.”

Online corrections: The Washburn Review strives to be accurate. If an error is brought to our attention, it will be immediately corrected on the Web site.
