Washburn Transformational Experience luncheon held for faculty

The Washburn Transformational Experience was the topic of discussion recently between faculty.

The lunch for the WTE was held in the Washburn room in the Memorial Union.  And according to Mike Russell, the Director for the Scholarly or Creative WTE, the luncheon was to thank the faculty for their time and energy that they have put into helping out with the WTE and mentoring students.

There are four sections to the WTE and the director for each section was at the luncheon. Jeff Mott, Director of the Leadership WTE, Rick Ellis, Director of the Community Service WTE, Baili Zhang, Director of International Education and Russell were all present at the luncheon.

Even though it is no longer required for students to complete the WTE, it is still opportunity students can receive and that funding is still available for.

“The WTE despite being optional really is a dream program and that’s why it was created,” said Russell.
