PHOTOS: Lunar eclipse covers moon, coincides with winter solstice
Despite some light cloud cover, a lunar eclipse was visible Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at Washburn University.
According to NASA, this was the first time a lunar eclipse coincided with the winter solstice since Dec. 21, 1638, and won’t happen again until at least 2094.
