Lawrence-based indie-pop band New Inhabitants will be playing Friday, Jan. 28, at the the Celtic Fox. The show begins at 8 p.m. and is open to the public and free of charge. All ages are welcome.

“We are happy to be playing in Topeka again, and the Celtic Fox seems to be a town favorite when it comes to venues,” said Tyler Jenkins, lead singer and Topeka native. “I have no doubts that everyone who attends will have a great time.”

The New Inhabitants’ most notable Topeka gig was over the summer in Yager Stadium. The band was the featured band during Shawnee County’s Largest Workout in July, playing an outdoor set while people walked, jogged and ran around the track prior to the group workout.

The band also stopped by the Boobie Trap bar in December, and often has shows at The Jazzhaus in Lawrence.
