Giovani’s Pizza changed locations recently, and is beginning to offer more to its customers. The new location at 1505 S. Kansas Ave. will offer beer and wine beginning in February when it obtains a liquor license.  It will also have a soda fountain. The new location is larger, featuring more tables and a bigger kitchen area. The tables and booths have New York City maps on the tables, and the walls are covered with New York inspired objects.

Despite all these changes, the pizza is still amazing as well as their delivery hours.  Until 3 a.m. Thursday through Saturday with a minimum purchase of $10, Giovani’s will deliver anywhere within Topeka city limits.

Perfect for those late night study sessions, the restaurant offers a wide variety on its menu, going beyond pepperoni and meat sauce to offer pizzas like the Margarita pizza. Some pizza is made of buffalo mozzarella, basil and fresh tomatoes.

Restaurant employees make the own sauces and ship the dough frozen from Pennsylvania, then hand-toss the dough to order. In the future, they plan to get their frozen dough straight from New York when shipping prices fall. Other pizzas unavailable at pizza chains include Chicken and Broccoli, BBQ Chicken, NY Cheese Steak, as well as the Bacon Cheeseburger pizza, and they are all delicious. There is a list of ingredients at the bottom of the menu which you can add for only $1, but the great part is that Giovani’s offers different types of sauces. Baked pastas such as Baked Ziti, Chicken Alfredo, and Blackened Chicken Pasta are available as well as salads and breakfast pizza.  Wings, heroes, calzones and dessert pizzas are also offered.

During the weekdays Giovani’s features daily lunch specials for on the cheap.  Right now there is only canned soda and two- liters, but in the future customers will be able to get a fountain drink with lunch.  The offers are $5 and $6, and include three slices and a drink, a slice and a salad and a drink, or a calzone and a drink.  The calzones on their own are $7 so this is a steal, and very tasty.   On top of these killer deals, there are also daily specials.  For example, on Mondays the deal is buy two pastas or calzones, and get the third for free.  Thursday is buy two pies and get the third for free.  Add that to the free delivery and the deal is amazing, especially for such good pizza.

They have an online menu for customers wanting to order from home who don’t already have their menu, http://www.giovanispizzeria.com.
