Morgan Hall construction updates begins phase one

There will be a short power outage during winter break in Morgan Hall.

McPherson Contractors have been issued notice to proceed on the Morgan Hall/Welcome Center construction project. Soon, there will be a fence, barricades and construction trailer added to campus, north of Morgan Hall, and contractors will be all around the building. Remodeling of the east wing of Morgan Hall is part of phase one.

There will be a short power outage during winter break in Morgan Hall. Refrigerators need to be left unplugged and clean out so food will not spoil.

Office moves will begin in earnest once the technology hub has been relocate, which will be between the beginning of February and mid-March. An information sheet with new office locations will be proved soon.

Office relocations:

· Admissions will move Dec. 23, 24 and 26 to the Forum Room in the Bradbury Thompson Alumni Center

· Student Services will move Jan. 2 to the Mosiman and Rice rooms in the Memorial Union

· In January, phone and computer lines will be moved from the construction zone to a technology area in Morgan Hall. This technology hub will be located on the first floor of Morgan Hall in the middle wing (where the vending machines are currently located). Some of the vending machines will be located in the hallway.
