Edie and Don explained that the idea for the Story Slams came from when they went to visit their daughter in Philadelphia, and they attended a story slam there. A story slam is a story-telling competition where participants tell a five-minute story of a true experience related to the event’s theme. 

This month’s theme was resolutions. Then audience members select the three best stories. Prizes are awarded to the best 3 stories.
